It is officially spooky season. The most wonderful time of the year! If you are still deciding on some last-minute costumes or love dressing up as a family like we do, here are some family Halloween costume ideas!

The Addams Family

You can never go wrong dressing up as the OG family of Halloween. The Addams have been around for decades. And just when you think their popularity is waning…Boom! Out comes a new movie or TV show featuring our favorite Halloween kinship.

With the newest season of the Netflix show Wednesday being recently released, what better year to get out your black attire and emulate Wednesday’s family with your own?!

Dino Family

Who doesn’t love dinosaurs? Kids love them. Adults love them. They have been popular for centuries. You can’t go wrong with a dinosaur costume. And they make them in adult sizes too!

My husband and I found the most comfy adult costumes for us (Well, mine was a unicorn…close enough, right?). And the kids loved pretending to be the ancient creatures in their own adorable costumes.

If you want an easy to find, easy to put together family dress up idea, look no further than dinosaurs! And a unicorn 🙂

Skeleton Family

Looking for another easy-to-find costume? You can be sure to find plenty of skeleton costumes for anyone from an infant to a grown-up. Mine was so comfortable and surprisingly flattering! And the kids LOVED dressing up as an iconic Halloween symbol.

Our family loves Guardians of the Galaxy. Who doesn’t?!

For my Gamora costume, I used a black leather jacket I already owned and slathered on some green face paint. You could mix in a little white to the face paint to give it a lighter alien look. Here are links to the rest of the costumes.

Batman Family

No one will question who your family is dressed as with this iconic superhero franchise. Batman is a fan favorite in the comic world and has been around for decades. This one was fun for our family as we incorporated both the heroes and the villains in our costumes.

We had an adorable bat outfit that we put our infant in. We had received it from my mom after we had our oldest son, and it was worn by all four boys 🙂

Spider-Man

And Hulk

We decided to stick with the superhero theme and go as one of my personal favorites this year. Spider-Man (and Hulk). Because sometimes teaming up to save the world is better than doing it alone.

We added a fun twist to some of our costumes this year. Here are the characters in our gang:

As our boys get older, they are starting to choose their own costumes and come up with family dress up ideas of their own. This can be wacky and fun, and it allows them to tap into their creative side. We can’t wait to see what else they come up with in the years to come!
