Five Day Workout Schedule

I try to work out five times a week, around half an hour each. Strength training is what works best for me, so that is what I mostly do with a little cardio sprinkled in. Here is a rundown of my Monday through Friday workout schedule this week. These are videos I have found on YouTube that I really like and challenge me. They are NOT my videos I made myself. They can be done from home with a couple sets of different sized dumbbells.

Upper Body

20 Minute HARD Upper Body Workout with Dumbbells | Caroline Girvan

I used my 10 and 25 pound dumbbells.

I did a quick cardio warm up before I started of:

  • 20 jumping jacks
  • 20 high knees
  • 20 butt kickers

Repeat warm up 3 times. I usually lift a little lighter than what is used in these videos as this chick is a BEAST. You got this!

Lower Body

45 MIN DB LEG WORKOUT | Lower Body | Quads | Hamstrings | Glutes | Calves | At Home Legs

I used my 20 and 25 pound dumbbells for this workout (one 25 lb dumbbell for most of the exercises). I ended my workout at the halfway point due to time restrictions and feeling pretty burnt out at that point. I will finish the workout on leg day next week. You can definitely do the whole thing if you are feeling up to it!

Light Cardio

45 minute walk with the double stroller

Cardio and Lower Body

I went on a walk/sprint/jog with my two littles in the double stroller. I walked for 5 minutes, sprinted for 30 seconds, then slowed to a jog for 4.5 minutes. Then repeated two more times.

Later, I finished the second half of the leg workout from Tuesday.

Total Body

I used my 15, 20, and 25 pound dumbbells.
